1. Introduction
Welcome to Chicken Road. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chicken Road mobile application ("App"), website, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By downloading, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
Chicken Road is a mobile application designed to help pedestrians navigate road crossings safely. Our mission is to reduce pedestrian accidents and provide reliable safety information to users worldwide.
2. Using Our Services
You must follow any policies made available to you within the Services. You may use our Services only as permitted by law, including applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations. We may suspend or stop providing our Services to you if you do not comply with our terms or policies or if we are investigating suspected misconduct.
Using our Services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our Services or the content you access. You may not use content from our Services unless you obtain permission from its owner or are otherwise permitted by law. These terms do not grant you the right to use any branding or logos used in our Services. Do not remove, obscure, or alter any legal notices displayed in or along with our Services.

All content, features, and functionality of the Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, are the exclusive property of Chicken Road, its licensors, or other content suppliers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable
- Send spam or unsolicited messages
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers or networks connected to the Services
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services or any other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Services
- Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
7. Safety Information Disclaimer
While we strive to provide accurate and timely safety information through our Services, we cannot guarantee that all information is 100% accurate, complete, or up-to-date. The road conditions and safety hazards can change rapidly, and our information may not reflect the most current conditions.
You acknowledge that you are ultimately responsible for your own safety when crossing roads. The Services are intended to be used as a supplementary tool and should not replace your own judgment, caution, and awareness of your surroundings. Always follow local traffic laws and regulations.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chicken Road and its officers, directors, employees, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services;
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Services;
- Any content obtained from the Services; and
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Services exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the Services during the twelve (12) months prior to such claim.
9. Modifications to the Services and Terms
We are constantly changing and improving our Services. We may add or remove functionalities or features, and we may suspend or stop a Service altogether. We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes to the Terms by posting the revised Terms on our website or through the App. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.

You may stop using our Services at any time. Chicken Road may also terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. The following provisions of the Terms survive termination: Content and Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
